Description

Lasting change in the architecture profession is born through collective action. The Arquitectos Coalition National (ArqCoN), formerly the National Latinx Architects Coalition, is a growing national movement uniting allied organizations to elevate Latinx representation, mentorship, advocacy, and leadership. Emerging from grassroots initiatives such as AIA Latinos in Architecture (LiA) Knowledge Communities and LA.IDEA, and strengthened through partnerships with organizations including Arquitectos, Arquitina, ADANY, and the Immigrant Architects Coalition, ArqCoN embodies the transformative power of coalition-based leadership rooted in shared values and a common vision. This session invites architects, design professionals, NOMA chapters, and affinity groups to explore how meaningful partnerships and strategic alliances can transcend geography to influence national policy, expand leadership pathways, and amplify voices too often unheard. Attendees will leave with practical strategies, adaptable frameworks for coalition-building, and inclusive leadership models that broaden advocacy and deepen mentorship. Through an exchange of ideas and experiences, this session illustrates how unified action can reshape the profession—fostering a future that is more equitable, representative, and resilient.
