To help prepare for the conference, we’re sharing the below tips to make your experience that much more enjoyable. 

Stay Connected

Keep everything Conference at your fingertips. Search for sessions, review speaker bios, and look at Expo. Access the mobile app by scanning the QR code and searching for NOMA 2023.

Hotel Accommodations

If you reserved a room at the Hilton Portland Downtown, the Duniway or the Heathman, you should have received an email confirmation directly from the hotel. If you did not receive a confirmation, please contact them to confirm your room. 

Should you need to make any changes, please contact the hotel directly.

If you need to cancel your room please do so 72 hours prior to your arrival, otherwise the hotel will charge one nights room/tax to your credit card on file. 

If you have not reserved your hotel room yet, the Heathman Hotel (503-241-4100) still has rooms available. Please contact them directly.

The museum is pleased to be able to offer $5 admission to all conference attendees, October 11 - 14th.  Please present your conference badge upon entry to the museum.

What to Pack

Make sure you pack accordingly to enjoy the line-up of social activities including:

  • Umbrella
  • Pack light layers / Raincoat or poncho
  • Walking / running / hiking shoes
  • Business cards for networking
  • Sunscreen / bug spray
  • Phone chargers
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Basketball shoes - if playing in Sunday’s game
  • Athletic wear - for hike, pilates, and the walk or jog
  • **For those attending the Nike Tour - must wear Nike or unbranded shoes and apparel

Saturday: Bros Arts Ball- Sneaker Ball at Leftbank Annex, cocktail attire with your favorite kicks
Sunday: Hike - athletic wear and hiking boots; Basketball game - Casual / athletic 

Review Your Conference Schedule

Review your schedule to make certain you’ve registered for events such as the Awards Banquet. Conference registration does not automatically include your seat at the evening events.

If you did NOT select that you will be attending the Host Chapter Party, Awards Banquet, or Bro's Art Ball, we are not holding a place for you and you will not be able to gain entry. We are so excited you will be in attendance. Please be sure to carry a valid ID as you will be carded at the evening events.

Check In / Badge Retrieval

The Hilton Portland Downtown is the headquarter hotel and all sessions will be held there.

Upon arriving at the Hilton Portland Downtown Hotel, head to Registration located downstairs in the Grand Ballroom Foyer. Onsite registrations will not be accepted due to space capacities. It will be an easy process to check-in. Simply use the tablet to search for your name and your name badge will be printed on demand.

Access to Events: 
Keep your name badge with you at all times to avoid delay or restricted access to the events. You will need your name badge in order to enter sessions and evening events.

Things to Remember

Bring your watch:  With a sold-out conference, we’ll be starting all events on time to stay on schedule. Make sure to arrive early to events and seminars to allow time for check-in.

Ready to go:  Shuttles will be available for evening events and most tours. Shuttle buses will leave from the lobby of the Hilton Portland Downtown.  Please be on time… we don’t want to leave without you.

It’s time to network:  Remember to bring extra business cards and your resume.
