Description

Strong chapters are built on strong leadership, but sustaining that leadership requires intentional systems, shared knowledge, and financial resilience. As NOMA chapters face growing expectations around programming, advocacy, and community impact, chapter leaders must also navigate succession planning, member development, and long-term organizational health. This leadership-focused workshop brings together chapter leaders from all four NOMA regions to examine how strategic business development and fundraising serve as foundational tools for chapter development, leadership continuity, and governance stability. Grounded in NOMA’s national pillars of Educate, Elevate, Empower, and Engage, the session explores how well-resourced chapters that are financially sound, strategically aligned, and impact-forward are better positioned to deliver meaningful programming, invest in emerging leaders, and sustain mission-aligned initiatives beyond individual leadership terms. Designed as a collaborative working session, this seminar equips current and future chapter leaders with practical tools, adaptable frameworks, and peer-driven insights to strengthen chapter infrastructure, support leadership transitions, and design resilient futures for NOMA chapters nationwide.
