Ijeoma D. Iheanacho, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP has been producing architecture in New York City for 23 years. She has worked on some of the most intriguing and important sites in the metropolitan area, including the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, the 7 Line Extension, the ESI Projects and the DOT Harper Administration Building. Her goal is to always remember the end user. Whether it be a subway rider, a public school student, or a hardworking city employee, her focus has always been to bring architecture back to the every day, back to creating the stage for life and living. During this time she has been striving to reach her goal of exploring and honing her abilities in all aspects of the creative and professional process. She thrives on creating a healthy work environment for her teams in the belief that this way of working produces the best creative outcomes. Ijeoma has also pursued a parallel career as a fine art photographer with exhibitions in New York City. Her focus is the reclamation of identity for women of African descent. She believes we should all be given the chance to define ourselves for ourselves.
