Mr. Thompson is the Passaic County Architect in New Jersey. His projects range from historic restoration and renovations projects to a new Public Works facility.He previously served as the Director of Campus Operations for the New Community College (now Guttman Community College) at the City University of New York (CUNY) , was Chief Architect for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center , and part of the architectural team for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on airport light rail projects and various projects. From 1995 to 2000 he was a Visiting Professor at Pratt Institute’s Undergraduate School of Architecture. He has an Associates in Mechanical Technology from New York City College of Technology (CUNY), a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Pratt Institute and a Masters in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University.He was awarded the 2021 AIA New Jersey Architect of the Year. Andrew is a member of the NOMA Council and currently President- Elect for AIA New Jersey.
