Beau is passionate about community-engaged design, mentoring the next generation of architects, and advancing Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) within the profession and his communities. Beau founded his own firm, Activate Architecture in 2018 to put his passions into practice. Beau has managed multiple complex adaptive-reuse projects in downtown urban cores, led public interest design charrettes, and developed outreach programs with the City of Austin promoting affordable housing. He also enjoys writing poetry, watercoloring, and sharing his words at open mic nights.
