Speaker Bio
Joseph is a Baltimore transplant who is currently a project architect and lab planner in the Gensler Baltimore office. A strategic thinker and consummate professional, Joseph is a graduate of the Mecca, Howard University School of Architecture and has been privileged to work for and with some of the top architecture firms on the east coast. As a project architect and lab planner, Joseph has continued to strive for excellence in his career while still maintaining a heart of service. Outside of Joseph’s day-to-day responsibilities, he volunteers his time with local high schools to teach children about architecture. Joseph is the current membership chair of the Bmore NOMA chapter. He prides himself on actively participating in recruiting events and mentoring several minority interns and new hires.

Gensler recruiting him to help bolster their sciences practice area was one of the highlights of his career because it shows his growth in the sciences practice area. Sometimes African American males in architecture face the imposter syndrome and at times doubt their value as business professionals. Accepting this role was a reminder that 1, Joseph deserves a seat at the table and 2, the table needed him and is happy to have him.
