Olga is a first-generation Mexican-American architect in training based in Phoenix, whose work has been focused on K-12 educational projects throughout the Phoenix Valley. Her interest in community impact reflects through her advocacy for inclusion and opportunities for minorities. Olga is among the founding members of NOMAarizona (the Arizona Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects). Her passion for mentoring students led to her development of the chapter’s college program that provides students with mentorship, workshops and internship placement opportunities. Olga is also a member of Designing in Color, a collective of architects and designers that aim to diversify the way architecture is taught and practiced. She has led panel discussions and workshops through her work at Designing in Color, with complex topics not typically discussed among the profession.
