Michael is the owner and founder of M.Thrailkill.Architect LLC, a Portland-based architectural resources consultancy, providing specification writing, cost estimating, product and materials research, and document review to architecture firms who demand a high level of collaborative design interaction. Over ninety percent of the company’s work is for repeat clients. He founded the company in 2015, providing resources and consulting to architecture and interior design firms in the Pacific Northwest, the Bay Area and Southern California, South and Central Florida, New York City and Northern Virginia. With over twenty-nine years of professional experience, Michael has been involved in all aspects of design and planning practice, from documentation and designing, to staff organization, documentation and construction administration, to designing, project management, specifying and estimating on projects in most U.S. regions. Prior to starting the company, Michael specialized in higher education, institutions, corporate and government projects. He traveled extensively supporting clients’ projects in countries around the world. In his role, Michael managed design projects while also providing specifications and cost input for projects both domestic and foreign.
