Carla is an Architect, licensed in the state of California, currently working as a Project Architect and Construction Administrator for HMC Architects. Her career spans over 25 years, with project management experience for commercial/retail development, schools, and community centers. Carla is passionate about community engagement and has been a member of the National Organization of Minority for over 30 years. She began her journey with NOMA as a Student Chapter member and NOMAS president, dedicating time on both her local chapter (SocalNOMA) Executive Board as Secretary and Treasurer and the NOMA National Executive Board as Secretary. She enjoys supporting local initiatives, such as the Project Pipeline and recently the Altadena Rebuild Coalition. In 2023, Carla became elevated to the NOMA Council. Architecture education and advocacy inspires Carla to support and continually engage with programs that empower our communities with positive and impactful change through design.
