Alan Scott, FAIA, LEED Fellow, is a registered architect and sustainability leader with more than 30 years of experience advancing high‑performance, low‑carbon, and healthy buildings across the Americas. He was among the earliest LEED Accredited Professionals and part of the inaugural class of LEED Fellows, reflecting his long-standing role in shaping green building practice and education. As Director of Sustainability in Intertek’s Building Science Solutions group, he focuses on decarbonization, resilient design, and occupant health for both new and existing buildings, integrating climate risk, envelope performance, and indoor environmental quality. His background includes co‑founding Green Building Services, leadership roles at firms such as Cadmus and WSP, extensive service on LEED and resilience technical committees, and frequent teaching and speaking on material transparency, wellness, and resilience.
