Lisa Cholmondeley, FAIA, is a Principal at Gensler who champions inclusive practice across cultures, disciplines, and project types. She leads complex global teams with clarity and purpose, aligning vision, goals, and the built environment to deliver thoughtful, equitable design solutions. A highly accomplished architect, Lisa’s work reflects a deep passion for architectural theory, design excellence, and the advancement of the profession. Over her 29-year career, Lisa has lived and worked in London, Qatar, the UAE, and the US. She has developed a skillset and an in-depth knowledge of a project's lifespan—from inception and far past completion. Her recent focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion across the architecture industry has generated a movement devoted to the strength of the team and people with diverse backgrounds. Lisa is a regular speaker on issues related to architectural and interior design, in addition to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. She has authored numerous blog posts focused on workplace design and inclusivity. Lisa was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2025 under Object 2: Practice Management.
