Speaker Bio

Erik Hancock is an experienced designer, architect, and project manager, as well as a nationally recognized leader in planning and design for outdoor camps and nature-based educational facilities. Erik’s diverse background in architecture, music, and software development helps him create empathetic and responsive designs for varied and complex client design challenges. As a TKWA partner, he seeks to more fully integrate the firm’s wholeness-based philosophy, both in design outcomes and studio culture. Erik is active in community outreach, leading the effort to make TKWA the first design firm in Wisconsin to become a Public Benefit Corporation. Benefit Corporations are for-profit organizations that have made an additional commitment to make a positive impact on society, workers, and the environment. Erik is also the current Vice President of the Wisconsin Chapter of NOMA and Co-Chair of the chapter’s Project Pipeline. As part of the team representing NOMA in the effort to save the Central City Plaza complex, Erik coordinated with researchers, historic preservationists and advocated on behalf of the architecture profession. In his role with Project Pipeline, Erik will carry Robinson’s story into the curriculum of the 2026 camp, bringing this message of hope and legacy to a new generation of future designers.
