Dr. Patricia E. Green is an internationally recognized architect, scholar, and cultural heritage specialist whose work fuses historic preservation, urban resilience, and sustainable design in coastal and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) contexts. Recognized in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) book 100 Women: Architects in Practice, she is celebrated for her place-sensitive architectural vision and pioneering contributions to architectural practice and education. She holds a PhD in Architecture, Heritage and the City from Universidad de Sevilla, a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania, and a professional architecture degree from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Dr. Green is active in ICOMOS and Caribbean heritage networks, advancing equitable resilience practices rooted in cultural context. Dr. Green’s career spans design practice, academic leadership, and international heritage policy. She served as Head of the Caribbean School of Architecture at the University of Technology, Jamaica, where she championed program accreditation and the development of postgraduate built environment studies. She is currently an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Geography and Geology at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.
