Speaker Bio
Jordan Luther is an aspiring architect with a passion for sustainable, community-centered design. She holds a Master of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she also earned minors in Art History and Building Construction Technology.
In all parts of her academic journey, Jordan has expressed her interest in research, supporting her belief that architecture can find itself at the intersection of evidence-based design and neuroscience.
In 2022, Jordan was honored as an American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) CRIT Scholar. Her work on “Augmenting Patient Rooms through Patterning: The Impact of Biophilic Design on Human Health” was presented at the prestigious 2022 AIA/ACSA Intersections Conference. She continues to explore this love of research as a member of the AIA Pittsburgh Research and Design Committee.
Beyond this dedication to research, Jordan is committed to creating inclusive and sensitive spaces for all communities, particularly those affected by trauma. Her strong sense of advocacy and mentorship has grown through her involvement with the AIAS. Northeast Quadrant Director on the 2023-2024 AIAS Board of Directors. Jordan looks forward to continuing her leadership journey as the 2024-25 President of the AIAS.
