This tour proposal revolves around Baltimore's quintessential, oldest public market: Lexington Market. Founded in 1782, with its original shed-like structure erected in 1871, it is often regarded as a symbol of the personality and culture of Baltimore. Lexington Market epitomizes the concept of "cultural melting pot" that Baltimore embodies to its core. Hosted by the celebrated developer Seawall and partnered with BCT Design Group, the architects of the new building, this tour will be extremely educational with the entire building open to tour. Guided by the architecture and development teams, this tour will engage participants through historical storytelling, allowing for open exploration of the building.
