This session will allow attendees to learn from organizational leaders' work to broaden the tent of the profession to all perspectives, specifically from the Latinx experience. Participants will also discover how to bridge the gap for starting an affinity group within an organization, strengthening outreach and fundraising, advocating for more equitable hiring practices, supporting underrepresented communities and allies, and reaching broader communities in celebration of each others' work. This session will provide the opportunity for participants to establish professional development groups centered on improving the quality of life for underrepresented architectural and design professionals and their respective communities - with the goal of working together to implement a national shift toward equity for all in the profession.
