Rob Misel, AIA, has been working with the Miller Hull Partnership since 2002. Rob has led projects with clients such as the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. General Services Administration. His most recent work has been for aviation projects with the Port of Seattle at SEA. Rob believes that good design requires both sustainability and equity to truly be great, and as Miller Hull’s Managing Partner, he has been entrusted with leading the firm’s next chapter. Rob’s top priority is to ensure Miller Hull is committed to becoming an anti-racist firm, and that the firm provides an environment of transparency, accountability, and consistency where people feel seen, valued, understood, and protected. At Miller Hull, Rob founded the firm’s Open Studio and Equity Lab programs. Rob has worked with AIA Seattle since 2018, and in 2020 he co-founded AIA Seattle’s JE:DI Council to address the Chapter’s issues related to equity and diversity, and to provide guidance and accountability for the Chapter. He then served as JE:DI Council Co-Chair for two years. With Rob’s support, Miller Hull has participated in the NOMA NW Call-to-Action since its inception in 2021.
