As GGA’s Design Principal, Greg is responsible for shaping the design culture of the rm. By harnessing its diversity and creating an environment of empowerment, agency, growth, and collaboration, he seeks to reinforce the rm’s mission of ‘Doing Good with Great Design’. With over 25 years of experience as an award-winning architect, landscape architect, educator, and author, his work and research seek to holistically combine the techniques and strategies of architecture, landscape architecture, and urbanism to create unique, sustainable, forward thinking, equitable environments that build upon and enhance the specific qualities of a place. His research explores new initiatives and thinking around transdisciplinary design, with current work focusing on Restorative Urbanism and alternative housing strategies and typologies, particularly those focused on issues of mental health, equity, affordability and innovative ownership models. He has served as the Co-President of the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design and is currently a founding Board Member of Community Design Group, a non-profit research arm of GGA with a mission dedicated to issues impacting under-resourced communities. Greg holds a MArch from UCLA, and he is currently on the faculty of USC and Otis College of Art & Design.
