Karen is a Senior Regional Planner and licensed landscape architect with Metro's Parks and Nature department. She collaborates with a wide range of allied professionals, project stakeholders and community members to arrive at park designs that meet Metro's mission to protect fish and wildlife habitat and water quality while providing public access to nature close to home. Karen’s experience includes serving as project manager through the master planning, design engineering, and construction phases of park, natural surface trail, and regional trail projects. While constantly learning, she strives to incorporate a racial equity lens into park planning and development.
