Karina Bonin is a mechanical engineer and national leader in sustainable design with nine years of experience in the building and construction industry. She is PAE’s first WELL accredited professional and often provides expertise as the lead mechanical engineer on projects with lofty sustainability goals. Karina’s broad range of experience includes designing mechanical systems for higher education buildings, government buildings, and commercial buildings such as the TCORE project, a major renovation of the terminal core at Portland International Airport. Karina is a member of PAE’s JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) council and leads action committees within PAE to ensure the firm’s practices are equitable and the diverse experiences of staff are uplifted and celebrated. She takes joy in mentoring high school and college students, and she loves conducting tours of the PAE Living Building.
