Walking Tour of the esteemed Portland Japanese Garden - Cultural Crossing expansion project, completed in 2017, designed by Kengo Kuma and Associates, Sadafumi Uchiyama with Hacker and Walker Macy. The project is the recipient of numerous awards including:

• AIA Northwest and Pacific Region Honor Award, 2018_x000D_ - AIA Portland Honor Award,
• American Society of Landscape Architects, Award of Excellence, 2020

The tour, led by Project Architect, Tyler Nishitani, will cover the expansion project, taking ~60 mins and upon completion attendees will have access to the historic gardens. The bus return schedule will allow a limited amount of time independent exploration after the tour has ended.

 Please note that the Garden has graciously allowed our group to access the garden during early members-only hours and have asked tour attendees to be mindful of the garden's serenity during our time there.
