Description

Serving as an organizational leader on a local or state level is a great way for professionals to stretch their leadership skills and contribute to the improvement of the architecture industry. Since 1995 when Denice Hunt was the first woman of African diaspora heritage elected president of an AIA component, Black women have been elevated to positions of leadership around the Institute. In 2023 as we celebrate, the first Black woman to be the incoming national AIA president, it seems fitting to have a conversation with Black women who have led AIA components around the US. Join us for this panel of women who had held various leadership roles at local, state, and national architecture organizations.
