Larry Flynn has more than 30 years of experience in the design and construction industry, working with architects, engineers, contractors, and building owners in both the building and bridge markets. His career includes 17 years as a journalist and editor for Roads & Bridges and Building Design + Construction, where he covered the delivery of commercial and multifamily buildings and the design and construction of highway and bridge infrastructure. Since 2005, he has held various roles at the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), focusing on education, outreach, and industry development. Today, as Architectural Liaison and Resource Specialist at AISC, Larry collaborates with the architectural and engineering community to provide information, education, and resources to help designers maximize the use of structural steel in their projects. His roles at AISC have spanned markets from Seattle and Portland to Florida and the Southeast, reflecting his extensive industry knowledge and geographic experience.
