Angie believes design is more than creating physical spaces, it is a profound opportunity to reflect shared values, elevate underrepresented voices, and build connections within communities. After graduating from Iowa State University, she has been actively shaping environments that foster inclusivity through her architectural practice and involvement with the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). As a member of NOMA's Communications team, she helps amplify the voices of underrepresented designers, advocate for equitable design practices, and foster a more inclusive profession. Angie is deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within architecture, recognizing the profession's responsibility to create spaces that serve and empower all communities. She believes that equitable design begins with diverse representation in the industry and is passionate about supporting initiatives that provide mentorship, resources, and opportunities for emerging designers from underrepresented backgrounds. Beyond her dedication to inclusive design, Angie is captivated by the craft of architecture, from presenting ideas to clients to meticulously assembling drawings. She sees every project as an opportunity to merge creativity with technical expertise, ensuring thoughtful, impactful spaces that not only serve functional needs but also inspire and uplift the people who inhabit them.
