Since joining KPF, Gabriel has developed expertise in design, technical documentation, and coordination on life sciences projects. He has a propensity for organization and communication, and often takes the lead in coordinating both internal and external team members toward an assortment of project goals and deadlines. Gabriel is a central figure on the team for Columbia University's Biomedical Research Lab Building, the first purpose-built, all-electric academic research lab in New York City. Leading the technical coordination for the project, he works closely with the client and consultants to help it achieve the University's Plan 2030 greenhouse gas reduction goals. Gabriel has worked on a variety of mixed-use projects including Echelon Seaport and Channelside, both in Boston, where he brings a particular focus on lab planning. He gained wide respect among consultants for his knowledge of lab building program, city initiatives for sustainable buildings, BIM, documentation, and coordination. Beyond his technical knowledge, he helped to efficiently lead Channelside through the Boston approval processes with relevant city agencies, community leaders, and clients. Gabriel is one of KPF's BIM and Revit leaders, supporting his project teams through complex modeling.
